Originally from Romania, Alexandra earned a BA and MA degree in violin performance in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She continued her studies at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne, Switzerland where she earned master’s degrees in performance and in violin pedagogy. She has collaborated with various orchestras and festivals such as Transylvania Philharmonic in Romania, Sinfonietta and Opéra de Lausanne, Menuhin Gstaad Festival in Switzerland. Alexandra moved to Scotland in 2017 and has since collaborated with Chamber Music Scotland and taught at Sistema Scotland, Robert Gordon's College and the University of Aberdeen.

Based in Glasgow, Marina is currently pursuing a PhD at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in collaboration with St Andrews University. She completed her undergraduate studies in Granada and earned her Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatoire. Her festival appearances include the New Lanark Heritage Centre, Govan Music Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Aldeburgh Festival, PRISMA Festival (Canada), Dartington Festival, and the Granada Festival of Music and Dance, among others. She is a member of several chamber ensembles, including the International Baroque Consort, Spanish Roses, and the Daniel Martinez Flamenco Company, with whom she has toured extensively across the U.K., Europe, and America. In addition to her performing career, Marina works with Big Noise Govanhill (Sistema Scotland).
