The Inverurie Music Award Scheme for young musicians launched in 2019 to mark the 20th anniversary of Inverurie Music. The scheme aims to help young musicians at four local schools with their musical activities. The scheme runs annually, opening in September, when students from Alford, Inverurie, Kemnay and Meldrum Academies are invited to apply for funding of up to £200. Each year awards are given, for example, to contribute to the purchase or instruments, to buy music books, to help pay for exam fees and for many other purposes. The award scheme fund is generated by fundraising events and from donations from our generous supporters.

The award scheme application form will appear on this page in early September. The application window usually closes in mid-November and award decisions are made by the end of each year.
