Based in Glasgow, JKL Duo has performed at festivals and venues across the U.K., including the Buxton International Festival, Celtic Connections (on Campus - GCU), Skye Chamber Music, Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival, Chiltern Arts Festival, Usher Hall (Emerging Artists Series), and St Giles’ at Six in Edinburgh.  Their work is defined by an instrument-centred approach that moves fluidly across time and genre. With one foot in the past and one in the present, JKL Duo explores historical manuscripts, classical repertoire and folk traditions while embracing new commissions, reimagined arrangements, and the subtle use of technology.     

The duo normally consists of Italian guitarist Jacopo Lazzaretti and Scottish flautist Kerry Lazzaretti, both former students of the Royal Conservatoire.  Married and performing together since 2015, they have forged a distinctive voice that reimagines what flute and guitar can be.  However, as a result of an accident (a broken wrist), Jacopo cannot be with us on this occasion, and he has been replaced by a friend of the couple, the harpist  .
